Loopwheels launched their journey into production off the back of two highly successful Kickstarter campaigns in 2013 & 2015 where the response from the community was astounding. The brand has since expanded worldwide and now distributes products to over 20 countries.

Less effort is needed to push over uneven pavements, cobbles, grass and gravel paths and it’s easier to get up kerbs too.

I think it's totally fine without a drop. (just as I suspected) Thanks! I appreciate the picture...makes my decision much easier. What size tires and what is the wheel size 20x9? Over the winter of 2014-15, we’ve been developing and trialling our first 20 inch loopwheels designed especially for recumbent trikes. The springs are designed to cope with fast cornering and the particular forces of side-axles. We’re really happy with the results. Loopwheels-builder Graeme cycles the 12 miles to work on his trike most days – fitted with loopwheels, of course. He’s been pushing us to get these ready to share! We showed these new trike wheels at the Spezi show in Germersheim, Germany on 25 and 26 April 2015, along with another new design for trikes, with our own hubs and a disc brake fitting.
Probably needs CX bike tyre clearances on the forks and stays while fitted with 700×23 tyres. Else the wheels/tyres will bottom out onto the frameset / fork crown on hard bumps wouldn’t it ?? Ol'shel' on May 20th, 2016 - 11:16pm

“Potholes, cracks, cobbles – when you have chronic pain, you feel every vibration like a knife. Loopwheels took only a second to fit. They definitely reduce the pain of going over bumps, kerbs and cobbles and have made every trip out far more comfortable.”
The added components don’t make the wheels all that much heavier, too, as each Loopwheel only weighs 300 grams more than a similar spoked equivalent. Because they use hubs and rims similar to standard wheels, they can be installed on any bicycle designed to take 20-inch wheels. Other sizes may come soon, although that will likely depend on how well the current size sells.

It’s an elaborate design and really shouldn’t warrant hate in itself, but it’s a questionable application for bicycles. This would be awesome in smaller city cars, perhaps. ChudTruMud on May 20th, 2016 - 7:48pm

In addition to their solutions for wheelchairs and (Yes!) cars, SoftWheel has three versions for bikes. The premium wheelset is the disc brake Fluent HD setup designed for all around and even off-road riding, and available with either 27.5 or 29″ carbon rims. Its 3 shocks use an adjustable preload gas spring and hydraulic damping for 40mm of shock stroke. That isn’t the same as wheel travel due to the orientation of the shocks, so it’s not exactly clear how that translates to rim movement or really hoe it would compare to traditional suspension travel.
And by 100 MPH Bicycle, Donhou Cycles really means Bicycle That Has Peaked at 60 MPH on the Open Road but Could Theoretically Make It to 100. I'm not sure how that theory was developed. I think it's how fast frame builder...
Leaf springs are likely to wear because they have several moving parts. They should be inspected at intervals specified by the car manufacturer, or at major service intervals - usually every 12,000 miles (20,000 km). Facebook @howacarworks Twitter @howacarworks YouTube @howacarworks
