Final pricing hasn’t been set, but it looks like the standard wheelset should run about $2000 when they are available sometime later this year. In each of the wheels they use tech called Adaptive Rigidity that seems to be an optimized suspension tune geared to “absorb the bumps that matter and stay rigid over the ones that don’t”. Unlike suspension forks, which only work in one plane, Loopwheels provide tangential suspension—they absorb force from any direction. Loopwheels respond to head-on force in the same way as they do to a force from above or below.

Rear Loopwheels are about twice as stiff as front installations, and wheels can be used both separately with a spoked wheel, or as a set, plus as the lone form of bike suspension, or in addition to suspension forks. At only around 0.7 pounds heavier than spoked equivalents, Loopwheels make for particularly appealing add-ons to folding bikes, most of which don't bother with suspension systems due to the weight and bulk they pile on.
Loopwheel springs are made from a carbon composite material, carefully developed and tested to give optimum compression and lateral stability as well as strength and durability. Specially-designed connectors attach the springs to the hub and rim. The three loops in each wheel work together as a self-correcting system. This spring system between the hub and the rim of the wheel provides suspension that constantly adjusts to uneven terrain, cushioning the rider from bumps and potholes in the road. In effect, the hub floats within the rim, adjusting constantly as shocks from an uneven road hit the rim of the wheel. The spring configuration allows the torque to be transferred smoothly between the hub and the rim.
They will absorb even small shocks from the vibration of the road—unlike regular wheels. This means really smooth ride—even on a rough surface! Hi we are new to a air ride equipped motorhome and are wandering if it is ok to lift the wheels off the ground with the Jack's when leveling on those unlevel sites, the chassis is a Freightliner XC and it seems like the air bags are really stretched if the wheells and everything are pulling down on them in this situation ... We just do not want any damage to the system. Your input would be appreciated thanks The weight of the axle pulls down on the air bags but the weight of the front axle assembly is supported by the length of the shocks. When the shocks become fully extended, air bags, leaf or coil springs, that's when the front axle assembly quits moving down. I'm with everyone that doesn't like the looks of wheels in the air, but it doesn't hurt anything and I have done it. Think about this: The only way your motorcoach can roll away is if it's on the wheels. If it's up on the jacks, it can't roll. A good backhoe operator will hike the rear tires (where the brakes are) up in the air to get it up on the hydraulics where it is solid and stable, before operating. Sometimes they raise the front tires up with the bucket. Ever seen a mobile construction crane? First thing they do is raise all the tires up off the ground to get the unit level and stable before operating. I'm not saying to lift your coach that way, but it's not the big deal that some people try to make it sound like. On my Freightliner with the stiff rear end and V-Ride, if I lift one side a couple inches, the duals will come off the ground. Not a big deal because the jack won't roll.

@ Bob Stuart: The built-in air cylinders avoid the bouncing. The very first design in 2010 was actually with springs and, indeed too bouncy. The cylinders have a non linear suspension (exponential) that have a great dampening effect.

The most loop-the-loops in a Hot Wheels track is 10 and was achieved by Rohan Dayal and Rahul Dayal (both India) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 7 April 2021. It took Rohan and Rahul three days to build the adjustable angle wooden platform and assemble the entire track of 10 loops over it. Two people were involved in the project. Rohan Dayal and his younger brother Rahul Dayal. "Testing was initially with few loops and as we increased the loops and the length of the track, the project became challenging. Since the track became long it needed to be supported on a firmer wooden platform. The longer the platform, the greater was the weight and bending in the center. This needed strengthening of the platform. This was the initial challenge." While testing the brothers found that the journey of the car through the loops depended greatly on the angle of the platform. To facilitate variable angles they had to construct an adjustable wooden leg support. By adjusting the leg support during testing they arrived at the best angle which gave them the breakthrough that they could achieve the target. The project cost approximately INR 3500 ( approximately £35). The cost was less as the brothers already had collections of Hot Wheels cars and track and only had to purchase the remaining missing track pieces. The plywood used for the platform was upcycled from scrap. There were a numbe rof challenges faced by the pair. As the number of loops increase, the project became challenging in terms of scale. The length of the platform, it's weight, and height also presented difficulties in handling. The speed of the Hot Wheels car increases as it descends from greater heights causing the car to lose balance. Despite all these difficulties the pair think they could attempt to increase the loops by a further one or two in the future. "Since a young age of around 12 years, I would try to do small projects like making a wooden toy car or cricket bat. Later as I grew I would do some small household repair works. For all this, I would use my Dad’s tools. As a child, I liked playing with toy cars. I would make my wooden toy car and make it slide on sloping surfaces. During this time I was gifted with Hot Wheels cars and tracks which came with super smooth cars and steep sloping tracks. Soon I had a good collection of it. Recently I came to know about the Guinness World Record of 8 loops and decided that I can better the record. The Guinness World Records titleholder would be the best thing I would have ever got.
