Simply put, the suspension system connects the vehicle to its wheels. In doing so, it takes responsibility for two main functions: Providing a comfortable ride for the driver and passengers by smoothing out the bumps and other imperfections in the road. Keeping the wheels on the ground as much as possible to provide traction.

Hand Bike Attachment For Wheelchair

Bicycle wheels often follow a standard convention. They contain metal rods known as spokes that radiate from a center hub. The spokes provide strength in all directions as the force of the rider bears down on the wheel. The design of spoke wheels hasn't changed much in the past, but Chet Baigh has a new approach.

@Michael Lau Presumably yes, since part of your energy will go into moving the hub within the wheels. But since they're springs, you'll get most of that back, so it's probably close enough to a wash to not matter much. Especially on a purely A-to-B type bike like a folder. Repairs aren't the only pricey setback, When it comes time to replace a high-performance, low-profile tire, the cost can be staggering. Take, for example, the 2011 Chrysler 300C AWD. By the time 35,000 miles pass, according to TireRack.com, you'll be looking at an $1,128 bill if you opt for the factory Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires in 235/55R19 size, not including mount, balance, tire disposal, or the four-wheel alignment that's always a good idea before investing in new rubber.

And it's not like I have some high dollar customer sport chair, either. I use a "Breezy". Street price of $575. About as cheap as you an go. (https://www.quickie-wheelchairs.com/Breezy-Wheelchairs/Breezy-Lightweight-Wheelchairs/Breezy-600-Lightweight-Wheelchair/2403p) And the only modification I made was to cut grooves into the solid rubber tires. (They come smooth as a babies butt. That REALLY doesn't work in snow.) Grunchy January 31, 2018 01:30 AM Reason January 31, 2018 05:28 AM

However, the upsides are obvious to car enthusiasts. Our e-tron has evolved from subtle family hauler to garnering comments most anywhere we go. We even managed to take it to Audi Club Nationals 2019 (see: p.34 Q1_2020) where the net response from enthusiasts with gas-powered cars was universally positive. Not surprisingly, a low-slung aggressive-looking longroof is a hit amongst Audi brand aficionados no matter their preferred method of propulsion. His point was that the general consumer market is drawn to crossovers and SUVs, and not station wagons. Contrarily, Project e-tron is enthusiast owned… and Audi enthusiasts tend to prefer Avants. The low-slung long roof of the e-tron’s body makes for a quasi-Avant profile. While the general automotive buyer **may** disagree, we think there’s something to it. Audi’s considerable history of sporting longroofs gives considerable credibility and resonates with aficionados. For us, lowering Project e-tron was always part of the plan.

I'd change suspension first, then wheels.... but to each their own... ultimately it's up to you. you should always drop first... then buy the rims to fit accordingly... also, putting rims on a stock height car (i know somebody will be butt hurt over this) yeah dont make the same mistake i did... i totally regret getting rims 1st =/ ok .. but if i change my suspension accordingly to my 16 inch stock rims, then put on 19'zz i think it depends on what your unique situation is. if there are rims you really like, buy them and work around it. plus, if your facing winter every year, you do not want to be dropped too much, you'll be sliding all over since you will have a lower center of gravity and have more of a grip demand on your tires. if you drop it three inches, now you need to stick with a really high offset, so that will limit your wheel choices. i think it works the same way no matter what you do-suspension first will limit your wheel options...wheels first will limit your suspension options. do you want to be scraping low with small wheels, or keep it practical with bigger wheels, it's your choice!! in my situation, i really wanted a certain wheel which happened to have a low offset, so i can't lower it too much. i am also up against winter in new england, and shitty roads. so i knew i wasn't lowering too much, i just want to close the wheel gap. so i got the wheels i wanted, which are 19x8 +40 w/ 235/35 tires, learned i have about 2" in the rear and 3" up front to work with, and from there purchased the eibach pro-system-plus which will give me exactly what i'm looking for...improved handling, very little gap in the wheel well, and a lower than stock stance....done & done!! buddy thanks a million, i think u just answered my question, i have the same width rims and tires. i was wondering how much room i might have in order to figure the suspension.
