Due to the internal suspension, only about a 1/3 of the total weight of the wheel is un-sprung weight, actually lowering the weight that is 'seen' by the axle. However, on more imperfect pavement, you’ll want to move to a higher setting. We find ourselves using comfort the most. I suspect that many of us have had problems when it comes to carrying “stuff” on our bikes and trikes.
