This can cause excessive bounce and roll when hitting bumps or potholes, which can also lead to premature tire wear.

I sent this bike back, the customer service from both amazon and schwinn, were impeccable, so much so, that I'm going to order another one, and hope it's not defective. My fingers are crossed, and I'll post again when the next one comes. maybe a bit expensive but good simple bike.
