My wheels are staggered, TSW Mugello 20" wheels, no spacers, and am running Toyo Proxes TS tires, 245-35z fronts and 285-30z rears. Not sure how they would be for an X. Hope the info helps! I think 20" on stock is just fine. The ability to adjust the height is the main reason to go with coilover? Well after reading all this I think I will go with the General G-MAX AS-03 245/35/20 at all four corners (since I have an X model) and the 20" Enkei's seen here. Should look good on my moonlight white. I plan to do this in spring so I'll post pics when it's done if anyone still cares at that point. Again, keep in mind I am not getting full coilovers, I would consider coilover sleeves that fit over the strut but as previously stated i'm not really looking to constantly change ride height all the time. It's basically going to be a one and done type deal. Inputs would be greatly appreciated! Like Both are in decent shape, but im talking rims and tires not just tires. I'm trying to figure which way would be the best way to get a stance started.
@Michael Lau Presumably yes, since part of your energy will go into moving the hub within the wheels. But since they're springs, you'll get most of that back, so it's probably close enough to a wash to not matter much. Especially on a purely A-to-B type bike like a folder. While entirely theoretical, Lee’s design is not without merit. Spokes and rims found on any standard bicycle already absorb shock, albeit minimally.

they sent me another one with out having to return the first one and the tire on the second one is also bent. now I am waiting for a refund while I have 2 broken bikes. I am a police officer and bought this bike to train and exercise for bike patrol. Used the bike for the first time yesterday and it broke a few hours into training with maybe 6 miles on it. Front fork seals were in poor condition and leaked fluid right from the start. Front brake cable came loose during some braking drills. Finally the back gear system snapped and locked up the back tire almost causing me to crash. I know the is not a $2,000 or $3,000 dollar bike, but for almost $500, it should be a much better built bike then it was. Very disappointing. When I picked up the package, I was impressed at the condition of the box. There were no smashed corners or gashes. Upon opening the box, I was happy to see such efficient packing, padding and securing of items so nothing rubbed together. The bike arrived with no scratch whatsoever on it!
Cases to consider: 1: Idle - the spring should be able to carry the rider with no deflection, other wise if u lowered the spring from the beginning making the ground to hub distance smaller than the horizontal radius, you might experience lifting. but if it can support i believe its good
Are there drawbacks? Yes. In the lowest suspension settings, mainly efficiency and dynamic, the ride is bouncy. On a very smooth highway, these lower settings handle very well. However, on more imperfect pavement, you’ll want to move to a higher setting. We find ourselves using comfort the most. Just purchased a 2nd Traxion for my wife; after she borrowed mine she had to have one. This one arrived in perfect condition via UPS. Had to fine tune the brakes and shifters but that is easy. The people here having pedal/crank problems are causing the problem themselves by installing them dry and severly over tightening them. Put a little grease on the threads and take them down to just beyond finger tight. They are threaded opposite of the crank rotation and will not back out, and if you ever need to replace them they'll come out easily without seizing or galling. Great bike for the money! 5.0 out of 5 stars MARCH 30, 2021 UPDATE, 2ND PURCHASE! By artillerybuff on February 26, 2019 The order stated 3 day shipping and it took 6 days, but more importantly FedEx delivered the box all tore up with bottom flaps wide open and the box of pedals lying on the ground outside of the main carton. The bike suffered several deep scratches that really bummed me out! I decided to live with it as I hate to send things back unless I have to. Other than that the bike is very nice at this price point and would have received 5 stars from me if it wasn't damaged, despite the slow arrival.
