The Loopwheels team were looking for a digital agency to help build awareness of the enormous health and comfort benefits that their products offer to wheelchair users across the globe. They were also looking for a partner to help them leverage digital channels to grow sales on the Loopwheels ecommerce store.
'Then I had a spare afternoon and remembered the idea, so decided to make a model with springs made from plastic guttering I bought from B&Q and a pencil as a hub - and it worked perfectly'.
Ok, here they are! 18x9" +40mm offset. Wheels are gloss black with ball cut "machine" finish accents on the spokes. Front and rear fenders pulled to gain 5mm rear and 8mm up front approx. I'm utilizing the slotted upper strut mount for an additional -0.3 negative camber which also adds 3-4mm more tuck at the top of the tire. Good news however is NO POKE! ^^^Savings of 11 1/4 lbs per corner! Noticing improved acceleration...especially in 3rd gear for whatever reason. Not enough seat time in the car to give much more detail than that but I will say that when you run more "stretch" in your tire setup, your steering response time really quickens up as a result of the reduction in sidewall "deflection." U can go too far with that theory and encounter some negative handling traits so beware. I won't be lowering the car as I have a steep entry into my driveway. I also like the handling of the car in Sport mode with the Type R rear sway bar installed and would rather leave it alone as it is currently well balanced. Ok, on to the pics. From an aesthetics point of view they are gorgeous to look at, but from riding them it is obvious that Sam and Gemma have created something special. Riding 20″ slicks is not normally the most fun way to enjoy the farm tracks of the UK, but with the Loopwheels it suddenly changed, the rough buzz disappeared and you find yourself enjoying the ride rather than worrying about your wheels and the bike bouncing everywhere!
Loving this well made Schwinn! Have many miles of very hard riding on it now and it is holding up well. Zero issues and still functioning perfectly. There is a slight amount of seepage at the front forks but that is normal. I have just about worn out the tires but that is after a lot of miles, most of which were ridden on rough rocky roads with zero flats. Overall this bike is a winner. Well worth the current price. Is Vibration Good For Lower Back Pain

I was happy with my purchase until this point. The bike looks nice and handled great. The only issue I noticed before this was that the left gear (I’m no bike expert, sorry if if that’s not the correct term) sort of made a weird noise when switching between one of the three settings (the chain sort of took a while to set correctly). The right gear worked flawlessly.

The wheelchair application seems to run straight into the eternal problem with sprung wheels. Without dampers, they bounce badly, as sometimes seen in tractors fitted with buckets on a bad road. With dampers, they have very high rolling resistance. I tire needs enough flex to meet the ground, but any further suspension should be on the axle. Lardo January 30, 2018 06:00 PM

I've been quoted $4k for a Bilstein 5100's all around with OME springs both front and rear and SPC Upper control arms. The $4k is for ALL parts + installation, and includes the wheels and tires. They are BFG KO2's and TRD Pro wheels. Is this reasonable? I'm completely new the world of mods and upgrades and don't want to get ripped off. To restrain cars from rolling - leaning over on corners - an anti-roll bar is used, often at the front, sometimes at the back and sometimes at both front and back.
How is that ? Do the jacks being driven into the ground by the weight of the chassis slide ? Does your table, grill, chairs, slide down the site ? Do you have brakes in them ? I did rear brake jobs on large trucks, when I jacked them up, they stayed right where I parked them.
Symptoms that tell you when components of your suspension may need to be looked at sooner include: The job of suspension system is to stop you rocking and rolling when you are driving and though the replacement of these components can be expensive they are critical to the stability, safety and ride comfort of your vehicle and should not be overlooked.
