I bought the car like this from the dealer. Pretty certain it is stock suspension. The Fronts are 20 x 8.5 and the backs 20 x 10. The front tires are Nankang Untra Sport NS-II 245/35ZR20 and the backs are Nankang Untra Sport NS-II 275/30ZR20. just switched to my winter setup, so i want to move my 20" Here are a couple of pics of my 2009 G37S with stock suspension and 20" wheels. I would love to lower the front some but I am fine with the back and I don't want to get into all the other issues that come up with lowering a car (rubbing, alignment issues, etc etc).

I don’t think it would affect the brake track. The wheel would flex on the bottom but would return to original shape and diameter when it rolled far enough to not be in contact with the ground. i think it depends on what your unique situation is. if there are rims you really like, buy them and work around it. plus, if your facing winter every year, you do not want to be dropped too much, you'll be sliding all over since you will have a lower center of gravity and have more of a grip demand on your tires. if you drop it three inches, now you need to stick with a really high offset, so that will limit your wheel choices. i think it works the same way no matter what you do-suspension first will limit your wheel options...wheels first will limit your suspension options. do you want to be scraping low with small wheels, or keep it practical with bigger wheels, it's your choice!!

Richard Quest, the designer of LoopWheel, asks “Why can’t the suspension work in all directions?” in regards to conventional wheels. Hence, the idea of LoopWheel originates. A 20-inch Loopwheel with Shimano Alfine 11-speed hub weighs 2.13kg. A LoopWheel is about 300g heavier than a conventional spoke wheel of the same size. However, you do get the added suspension and a smoother ride.
Rim and Wheel Works has a proprietary process that can straighten a number of wheel issues, from a "center bend" in which the wheel has actually twisted from impact, to TIG welding wheels that have cracked, then straightening the wheels after they've been welded. For wheels that have experienced slight damage, Rim and Wheel Works can repair them for between $110 to $135 for wheels up to 19 inches, and rising upward from there as the wheel gets larger.

With any wheels there is always a little trepidation about hitting larger more inanimate objects but with Sam goading me on I started to aim for rocks, ruts and tree roots (did I mention we were riding off road!!!) and in every instance the wheels soaked up the impact, leaving me free to ride the bike without worry of knackered rims, aching arms or even getting up out of the saddle to soak up the impact – you can just let the wheels do the work.

i’d like to see side by side freewheel tests for riders, i think they might be radically less efficient than regular wheels (more comfy maybe :). If you don't mind...what are the full specs of your wheels/tires? I'm just wondering because I have the X model and I know the widths and everything will be slightly different and no staggering for me. I think your setup looks great considering no drop, but I don't know how it would compare to an X model with no staggering or spacers etc.
@ Bob Stuart: The built-in air cylinders avoid the bouncing. The very first design in 2010 was actually with springs and, indeed too bouncy. The cylinders have a non linear suspension (exponential) that have a great dampening effect.

Loopwheels come in front- and rear-specific versions, one of the key differences being that the springs in the front wheel are twice as compliant as those in the back. This is (presumably) to help keep the wheel that does the steering from being knocked and bounced around, plus it compensates for the fact that more of the rider’s weight tends to be centered over the rear wheel.
The Loopwheels’ spring system between the hub and the rim cushions the rider from potholes and bumps in the road. It also reduces road noise by absorbing it, thereby reducing vibration through the frame—and into the rider’s arms and body. Because the suspension is inside the wheel, you don’t need fat tires to make the ride nicer. Instead, you can use high-pressure or puncture-resistant tires.
The gantry was to work by building a framework, with rails constructed from 1x1 blocks. The gantry X/Y axis arms are to traverse the rails with wheels. There would then be some pistons for the z axis, a rotor, and finally a landing gear for grabbing. All pretty straightforward stuff. On something like this, you do not want suspension on the wheels:

The more the tire is stretched, the more likely you may run into one of these issues. Stretching a tire onto a wider wheel may void the manufacturer's warranty depending on the brand and size of the tire. If your application is considered stretched, there will be a note listed during the checkout process before going to the cart for purchase.
We put up with a lot from our pneumatic tires, from punctures and blowouts, to slashings and the certainty of relatively frequent, inconvenient replacements and giant piles of waste rubber. The current technology seems well overdue for a revolutionary overhaul, if you'll pardon the pun, and yet despite dozens of fascinating attempts to reinvent the wheel, nothing seems to have found traction yet.
