When you have plenty of bicycle to work with, such as is the case with a mountain bike, it’s not such a big deal to design it with front and rear suspension. When the bicycle in question is a diminutive folding city bike, however, it gets a bit trickier. That’s why UK industrial designer Sam Pearce has created Loopwheels. It may be the case that with a lot of force it fits - however, I didn't attempt to apply excessive force because the original scooter wheel fits in effortlessly. Just put the tire on my sons Xiaomi M365. Fit perfectly. I tried replacing the inner tube a few times and each time the tube got a hole in it. Save yourself the trouble and buy the solid tire with the rim. Also, tire came mounted in the correct direction.

The most loop-the-loops in a Hot Wheels track is 10 and was achieved by Rohan Dayal and Rahul Dayal (both India) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on 7 April 2021. It took Rohan and Rahul three days to build the adjustable angle wooden platform and assemble the entire track of 10 loops over it. Two people were involved in the project. Rohan Dayal and his younger brother Rahul Dayal. "Testing was initially with few loops and as we increased the loops and the length of the track, the project became challenging. Since the track became long it needed to be supported on a firmer wooden platform. The longer the platform, the greater was the weight and bending in the center. This needed strengthening of the platform. This was the initial challenge." While testing the brothers found that the journey of the car through the loops depended greatly on the angle of the platform. To facilitate variable angles they had to construct an adjustable wooden leg support. By adjusting the leg support during testing they arrived at the best angle which gave them the breakthrough that they could achieve the target. The project cost approximately INR 3500 ( approximately £35). The cost was less as the brothers already had collections of Hot Wheels cars and track and only had to purchase the remaining missing track pieces. The plywood used for the platform was upcycled from scrap. There were a numbe rof challenges faced by the pair. As the number of loops increase, the project became challenging in terms of scale. The length of the platform, it's weight, and height also presented difficulties in handling. The speed of the Hot Wheels car increases as it descends from greater heights causing the car to lose balance. Despite all these difficulties the pair think they could attempt to increase the loops by a further one or two in the future. "Since a young age of around 12 years, I would try to do small projects like making a wooden toy car or cricket bat. Later as I grew I would do some small household repair works. For all this, I would use my Dad’s tools. As a child, I liked playing with toy cars. I would make my wooden toy car and make it slide on sloping surfaces. During this time I was gifted with Hot Wheels cars and tracks which came with super smooth cars and steep sloping tracks. Soon I had a good collection of it. Recently I came to know about the Guinness World Record of 8 loops and decided that I can better the record. The Guinness World Records titleholder would be the best thing I would have ever got. It would also mean that records are an inspiration to do better and create greater records. It would be a proud moment for both me and my family."

There is a lot of research to show that ‘whole body vibration’ is associated with fatigue and lower back pain, increased spasticity (muscle contraction), and an increase in pressure sores and has an impact on bladder control.

The gantry was to work by building a framework, with rails constructed from 1x1 blocks. The gantry X/Y axis arms are to traverse the rails with wheels. There would then be some pistons for the z axis, a rotor, and finally a landing gear for grabbing. All pretty straightforward stuff. On something like this, you do not want suspension on the wheels:

Rear Loopwheels are about twice as stiff as front installations, and wheels can be used both separately with a spoked wheel, or as a set, plus as the lone form of bike suspension, or in addition to suspension forks. At only around 0.7 pounds heavier than spoked equivalents, Loopwheels make for particularly appealing add-ons to folding bikes, most of which don't bother with suspension systems due to the weight and bulk they pile on.

Personally I don't like to lift wheels off the ground with the jacks and I would never lift the drives off the ground. If it's so unlevel that the wheels would be off the ground, I'll run up on some boards first to get close, then finish leveling with the jacks. Fronts are ok. You won’t damage anything. As stated above, never the rears (drive wheels) because the parking brakes are on the rears. If you’re not comfortable with the fronts being off the ground, you can build some small ramps or wood blocks you can drive the front wheels onto. If you search for ramps on this forum you’ll find lots of examples. When an air bag RV is lifted, ONLY the axle weight is left on the ground. no matter the lift height. This is unlike a leaf or coil spring vehicle. The tires provide limited stopping. If the leveler pads are on softer ground, they will put much restriction to the RV moving sideways as the pads will be in a hole. The suspension system has no problem handing from the shocks / limit straps. It endures FAR greater stress while you are driving down the road soaking up the bumps and road heaves. All that being said, try to NOT lift the RV any further up than is required. Things inevitably break. Hydraulic lines, solenoids, seals etc. You don't want a single leg to drop on it's own which the torques the chassis. An RV up in the air is invitation to crawl underneath or store stuff under. Not good when something breaks. So, pick a more level spot or use blocks to get the rig as level as you can before lifting. Don't park on a hill and lift so that there is no chance of slipping sideways (tire and / or leveling pad friction). Your drive axle (brakes) always have to be on the ground... else you'll go down hill as soon after you've walked bow to stern inside the coach a few times... I don't like to lift either off the ground ever. I only use the jacks enough to level the final little bit and to not have the coach shake while moving around in it. The thread Sonic posted is great! I use 2x10s like suggested in the posted link, but took it slightly further. I didn't cut an angle, don't really need it and in the past I found that it sometimes gives them the ability to slip while driving onto them. I would post pictures but it is in the shop for engine repair and the boards are in unit. Basically I took 2x10s and cut 2 boards the longest that would fit in the bay I was storing them in (about 36 inches long). I then cut 3 more boards about 8 inches shorter (for a total of 4 boards high), so lenghts of, 12, 20, 28, 36 long. I have 2 sets in case there is a need for the rear duals to go on boards. To keep the boards from sliding when driving onto them, I bought 3 different size carriage bolts that would go through 2, 3, or 4 boards but not all the way through, just long enough to keep them stable as you drive. I then took a spade bit that was 1/8 inch larger than the bolts and drilled through all 4 boards to accommodate the bolts, i did this in the rear where they would line up even and no worry about puncturing tires if they popped up slightly. I then took a spade bit slightly larger than the bolt head, and drilled on top of the holes the thickness of the bolt head. This way they sit down flush with the boards. It works very well! For the jack pads, I couldn't use anything very thick, as if I am on level ground and I dump the air, I only have about 4 inches between the jack pad and ground. I took 2x4s, and cut them the length of 3 2x4s put next to each other. I cut 6 in total. I then laid them crossways (think the first 2 layers of Jenga) and nailed them together from both sides. These work great for leveling! When i get it back from the shop next week I will try to remember to post some pictures. About 1% of the population in the developed world uses a wheelchair. We have hardly scratched the surface of that market yet. People in wheelchairs are living longer and healthier lives, they are more active at home and in the workplace, and some are using electric motors. There is a real need for loopwheels.
From an aesthetics point of view they are gorgeous to look at, but from riding them it is obvious that Sam and Gemma have created something special. Riding 20″ slicks is not normally the most fun way to enjoy the farm tracks of the UK, but with the Loopwheels it suddenly changed, the rough buzz disappeared and you find yourself enjoying the ride rather than worrying about your wheels and the bike bouncing everywhere!
