The steering and suspension systems are important for both your safety and comfort when driving as they ensure a smooth ride as your car travels over bumpy roads. The two systems are usually talked about together as they are directly related to each other. However, what does each system do? When do you need to check these important systems? And, how can you tell if either system is damaged in some way?

The design most likely requires a drum or disc brake since the rim’s position would likely change too much for rim brakes. We’re thinking this could be a fun design for commuter and city bikes where aerodynamics and weight are slightly trumped by comfort, particularly where the streets are a bit rough. In My case, I'm building a gantry with multiple axis of movement, as a means of making construction easier (the gantry would be used to, say, grab a WIP and lift, shift, and rotate it so I could get to otherwise inaccessible sections of the WIP).

    Baigh invented a new type of bicycle wheel called the ShockWheel. The ShockWheel incorporates shock absorbing properties into the wheel by using bow-spokes.     These wheels have a standard axle bearing diameter of ½” (12.7mm), but are not supplied with axles. Buy axles separately here if needed. If you need a 12mm axle bearing instead of ½” then please contact us.

    The arm may be broadened into a V shape with two pivots, either side by side or with the inner pivot slightly behind the front one - a semi-trailing arm. Trailing arms are usually found at the rear only. A trailing-arm suspension on a rear-wheel-drive car. The arm is attached to the rear wheel hub and broadens into a V whose two arms extend forward to pivot on the frame. The differential is fixed to the frame and the drive shafts have universal joints.

As a full time wheelchair user, I cast a very skeptical eye at said "annoyingly infomercial-style video". About the only places I have trouble are in soft gravel, sandy beaches, and deep snow. Certainly not gentle curbs and flat lawns.
