Just purchased a 2nd Traxion for my wife; after she borrowed mine she had to have one. This one arrived in perfect condition via UPS. Had to fine tune the brakes and shifters but that is easy. The people here having pedal/crank problems are causing the problem themselves by installing them dry and severly over tightening them. Put a little grease on the threads and take them down to just beyond finger tight. They are threaded opposite of the crank rotation and will not back out, and if you ever need to replace them they'll come out easily without seizing or galling. Great bike for the money!

The University of Texas at Austin Center for Electromechanics (UT-CEM) has conducted a set of simulations and full-scale experiments to determine suitable shock load design requirements for in-hub (wheel) propulsion motors for hybrid and all-electric combat vehicles. The characterization of these design parameters is required due to recent advancements in suspension technology that have made it feasible to greatly increase the tempo of battle. These suspension technologies allow vehicles to traverse off-road terrains with large rms values at greater speeds. As a result, design improvements for survivability of in-hub motors must be considered. Defining the design requirements for the improved survivability of in-hub motors is the driving factor for this research.
@ Bob Stuart: The built-in air cylinders avoid the bouncing. The very first design in 2010 was actually with springs and, indeed too bouncy. The cylinders have a non linear suspension (exponential) that have a great dampening effect.

They are BFG KO2's and TRD Pro wheels. Is this reasonable? I'm completely new the world of mods and upgrades and don't want to get ripped off. Suspension blocks are the quickest way to provide both, in addition to suspension and turning capabilities, but don't necessarily meet all demands. A rotor can also be used, but has a much lower maximum speed (60rpm, regardless of wheel size) for propulsion purposes - however it can also have its braking torque set to 0 to make it a free-wheeling axle.

I saw a mother pushing her child in a buggy. The front wheels hit a slight kerb and the child jolted forward because of the impact. Seconding how compression and rebound get adjusted… Also how will it handle/shed mud? looks like lots of nooks and cranies for mud and debris to hide and cling… I don’t even want to start thinking about what kind of aero properties these bad boys have, … High on my list to try, if I every had the opportunity (’cause dang I’m curious) but low on a buy until the applications for this type of wheel are nailed down. It’s important to note, that the axle is slightly wider than the tail of the frame. I widened the opening by grinding down just enough metal at the tail work a rotary tool to gain clearance. After that, it took no time to install. As an aside, this presents a perfect opportunity to change your brake pads as well. I was extremely hesitant to buy one of these wheel assembly kits. Many had reviews of non-spinning wheels or other horror stories, but this one did not. I took the jump, and it has worked out perfectly. No more back flats to worry about, and no loss to top speed! The ride is a little bumpier, but i only noticed the first ride or two. Slight decrease to total range as well, but that’ll happen. It fit my M365 perfectly, just had to adjust the brakes to fit this setup. I can not recommend this enough as a quick solution to eliminate flat tires as an issue. I am beyond pleased with my purchase

My background in wheel performance is its circular motion( which involves the circular of the wheel, and that the hub remains in the center of the wheel) if u are rolling with an oblong wheel, then u may actually exert more effort in lifting your self with the bike rather than rolling.
