Why reinvent the wheel? Because sometimes it makes for a better bike. Loopwheels are a completely new type of bicycle wheel, designed with a unique built-in suspension that makes for a delightfully smooth ride. Instead of spokes, as on a traditional bicycle wheel, the Loopwheels have three loop-shaped springs that allow the wheel to absorb the vibrations and bumps most riders are accustomed to feeling.

We also carry a wide variety of upgraded suspension bushings. Refreshing the old, worn out bushings in your car with fresh polyurethane bushings will improve your ride quality and handling. Polyurethane bushings outperform and outlast OEM rubber bushings and can withstand racing conditions. Upgrade your bushings to reduce wheel hop, improve stability and increase control. Once the 20inch wheel is in production, there are plans for a larger version for mountain bikes and even the possibility of a car version in the future. .

With scores of iterations, and hundreds of man-hours invested in the final product they are undeniably good-looking wheels, at first glance (and second glance, and then just staring at them) they wouldn’t appear out of place on a BMW concept car – but this isn’t pie-in-the-sky, these wheels are here and, thanks to their Kickstarter success, very much NOW!

Or am I missing something? Our cars don't come with OEM camber bolts on the lower strut mount. But Honda was nice enough to give us slots on the upper strut mount under the hood of the car in the engine bay. Here's a diagram:
A pair of shock-absorbing wheels for wheelchairs with integral suspension, designed to help you push over uneven streets, rough tracks, grass and gravel paths, with less effort. The carbon leaf springs give you extra power to get up or down kerbs/curbs. They’re wonderfully comfortable over cobblestones, and potholes needn’t be a problem any more!

The wheel fits to any bike with minor alterations. The added wheel suspension works with traditional fork suspension. Baigh explains his design in the video below. The LoopWheel is another design that features bow-spokes, only these are in elliptical shapes. The carbon composite springs isolate the rider from the high-frequency road noise preventing aches caused by jolting.

@Michael Lau Presumably yes, since part of your energy will go into moving the hub within the wheels. But since they're springs, you'll get most of that back, so it's probably close enough to a wash to not matter much. Especially on a purely A-to-B type bike like a folder. I suppose that there may be some readers who have not yet heard about this trike. If you haven’t – it was featured on a recent Laidback Bike Report (laidbackbikereport.com), so you might want to check that out – after you read this, of course! But seriously, getting a chance to see that trike in action, whether in-person or via that LBR, is a good idea. When you do, perhaps the first thing you notice is what I mention in the title – this trike leans! Read More »

In My case, I'm building a gantry with multiple axis of movement, as a means of making construction easier (the gantry would be used to, say, grab a WIP and lift, shift, and rotate it so I could get to otherwise inaccessible sections of the WIP).
Final pricing hasn’t been set, but it looks like the standard wheelset should run about $2000 when they are available sometime later this year. In each of the wheels they use tech called Adaptive Rigidity that seems to be an optimized suspension tune geared to “absorb the bumps that matter and stay rigid over the ones that don’t”. How that is achieved isn’t entirely clear, but is certainly a unique take on suspending a bike. notRapha on May 20th, 2016 - 8:06am Matt on May 20th, 2016 - 8:36am Greg on May 20th, 2016 - 8:44am

“Selective suspension is the key to the mechanism because constant suspension creates loss of energy, making pushing more strenuous. Only when encountering an object does the suspension system activate, making the inside of the wheel, the hub, move and absorb most of the shock instead of the wheelchair user’s body,” she said.
