The car does look good...the wheels are killer( even though they're a knock off...lol) yea.. but i heard mostly every one goes for a 19x9.5 +22 in front for a flush fitment and clears the calipers, but i guess it also depends on the make/design of the wheel. thanks i appreciate it. at least i dont try to set it off as "real BBS" by slapping a sticker on it, more disrespect. my friend was selling me actual BBS CH R but they were 5x120 so i couldnt run them

I might eventually drop it. You have remember though, the roadsters sit atleast a half inch lower than the coupes to begin with (stock). Here's mine on 19's. I'll probably cut down the spring seats to level it up a bit in the rear. Use a slightly taller tire. That helps alot. Mine are 275/35/19 and 285/35/19 and I love the way it looks on the stock suspension. I think Htech will be the perfect drop for me, LOL Even with 35 sidewall tires, the gap in stock suspension is horrible. There are a lot of good points that have been made in this thread. I think a big factor in your decision will be really the road conditions in your area. Lots of changes in slopes that cause you to bottom out would not be a good thing for a lowered vehicle. The cars I have seen here look quite good, mostly because they have either 19s or dubs on them.
According to Pearce, one of the advantages of Loopwheels is the fact that unlike a suspension fork, they can absorb shocks delivered not just from underneath or above but also from the front (as might happen when running into a curb head-on). He also admits that many other inventors have come up with designs for wheels with tangential suspension over the past hundred years or so, although he believes that today’s modern materials will allow his to work where others have proved impractical.
One designer wants to increase shock absorption in mountain bikes by replacing standard spokes with shock-absorbing coils. Triple the shocks, triple the fun!
As a full time wheelchair user, I cast a very skeptical eye at said "annoyingly infomercial-style video". About the only places I have trouble are in soft gravel, sandy beaches, and deep snow. Certainly not gentle curbs and flat lawns.

Much like their wheelchair design has made it easier and more comfortable for users to get around in an urban environment, SoftWheel hopes the Fluent wheel can do the same thing for cyclists. The way they describe how the wheel absorbs shocks claims that they are especially effective at abrupt sharp edge obstacles like riding up and down stairs. Since the rim can variably move in the direction of each impact (as opposed to a typical fork which can only telescope up and down, or a rear suspension setup which is confined to the axle path determined by its layout), it is better suited to the wide range of actual impacts your normally encounter.
Why reinvent the wheel? Because sometimes it makes for a better bike. Civics of your vintage need to be lowered about 2.5-3" with stock sized tires before you remove all wheel gap. This is too low for stock length shocks. Suspension, but don't just slap on some lowering springs on stock stocks; invest the money and get both. Better to do both then put on lowering springs then have to break down the assembly two months later to replace the spent stock shocks. Save yourself some labor. yea true. its been answered.. My buddies stock s2k with stock ap2 wheels and tires doesn't look that bad at stock height. man my car is tucking and out here the roads are some of the worst around, stock height is not an excuse! No offense, but you live in Texas and your winters are nothing compared to Michigan. I don't mind my car at stock height; it works for me. Haters are always gonna hate... The wheel gap left after putting 19's on my Z is even-spaced all around. Straight from the factory, the wheel gap on a Z is considerably less than most cars out there. Even compared to a handful of high-dollar supercars, the Z's gap is less. I've done the drop thing in the past, but I just can't justify it as much with the Z. Sure, it may look a little better dropped, but I don't think it looks bad at all with the factory ride height (with or without aftermarket wheels). damn that looks sweet! definitely dont need to lower anymore. I bought my wheels like almost two years ago, on the stock suspension, it made me wanna cry....look how horrible it looks, also it didnt help I bought the wrong size tires for the rear, a stretched 275/30, my 285/35's are the perfect size now, but even if I had them on stock suspension, its gross looking. these first two pics are without my Tein Stechs(the car looks like a damn truck its so high), the third is the same tires with the Teins, it looked alot better but the tire being the wrong size still bothered me, finally the last pics are Teins + 235/35 and 285/35 tires...its as close to perfect as I am going to get, any lower I would have to shave the fender wall and get some suspension, but I am happy where it sits. Last edited by atar350; 02-25-2007 at 11:01 AM. when i got my wheels i just rofl'd for awhile at the 4x4 look i had going. i had to do something about it so i got some hotchkis springs. mild drop, much better. It doesnt look bad at all, but the nice thing about the Teins and some other springs (not all, because some just slam the car to the ground) was it was less then an inchdrop and gave it a more aggressive stance, body roll really wasnt an issue on the Z stock, but with some good springs it feels even more solid, I'd recommend them to you. Beleive me it was bad without springs, here is a good pic of the horrid gap on stock suspension... The design most likely requires a drum or disc brake since the rim’s position would likely change too much for rim brakes. We’re thinking this could be a fun design for commuter and city bikes where aerodynamics and weight are slightly trumped by comfort, particularly where the streets are a bit rough. That's perfect size, go with stock 235/40/18 or 245/40/18 will work too if you want more tire width. You can swap over the stock tires if they're the same size. The University of Texas at Austin Center for Electromechanics (UT-CEM) has conducted a set of simulations and full-scale experiments to determine suitable shock load design requirements for in-hub (wheel) propulsion motors for hybrid and all-electric combat vehicles. The characterization of these design parameters is required due to recent advancements in suspension technology that have made it feasible to greatly increase the tempo of battle. These suspension technologies allow vehicles to traverse off-road terrains with large rms values at greater speeds. As a result, design improvements for survivability of in-hub motors must be considered. Defining the design requirements for the improved survivability of in-hub motors is the driving factor for this research.

unlike other bikes I purchased, I did not have to make any tuning/adjustments for the deralleurs - hope this won't jinx it. The bike arrived very fast and only a little assembly to do and very easy. The gears change very smoothly. It's a little heavy but I'm very satisfied !!! Had bike for just over a month and gears don’t work proper and back wheel frame is bent and has a wobble. Thought getting a more expensive bike would be more durable but I was wrong. My 200 dollar Canadian Tire bike was better. The tires are missing some ball bearing and trying to put the tire on only results in a wobbly tire. Off to buy some ball bearings now... Grumble.
