Suspension blocks are the quickest way to provide both, in addition to suspension and turning capabilities, but don't necessarily meet all demands. A rotor can also be used, but has a much lower maximum speed (60rpm, regardless of wheel size) for propulsion purposes - however it can also have its braking torque set to 0 to make it a free-wheeling axle.

Design concern: Compressing the suspension changes the center of the wheel. When the wheel is also rolling this means there needs to be a ‘handoff’ between the three struts. Loopwheels come in front- and rear-specific versions, one of the key differences being that the springs in the front wheel are twice as compliant as those in the back. This is (presumably) to help keep the wheel that does the steering from being knocked and bounced around, plus it compensates for the fact that more of the rider’s weight tends to be centered over the rear wheel.

I was happy with my purchase until this point. The bike looks nice and handled great. The only issue I noticed before this was that the left gear (I’m no bike expert, sorry if if that’s not the correct term) sort of made a weird noise when switching between one of the three settings (the chain sort of took a while to set correctly). The right gear worked flawlessly.

I might eventually drop it. You have remember though, the roadsters sit atleast a half inch lower than the coupes to begin with (stock). Here's mine on 19's. I'll probably cut down the spring seats to level it up a bit in the rear. Use a slightly taller tire. That helps alot. Mine are 275/35/19 and 285/35/19 and I love the way it looks on the stock suspension. I think Htech will be the perfect drop for me, LOL Even with 35 sidewall tires, the gap in stock suspension is horrible. There are a lot of good points that have been made in this thread. I think a big factor in your decision will be really the road conditions in your area. Lots of changes in slopes that cause you to bottom out would not be a good thing for a lowered vehicle. The cars I have seen here look quite good, mostly because they have either 19s or dubs on them.

Just purchased a 2nd Traxion for my wife; after she borrowed mine she had to have one. This one arrived in perfect condition via UPS. Had to fine tune the brakes and shifters but that is easy. The people here having pedal/crank problems are causing the problem themselves by installing them dry and severly over tightening them. Put a little grease on the threads and take them down to just beyond finger tight. They are threaded opposite of the crank rotation and will not back out, and if you ever need to replace them they'll come out easily without seizing or galling. Great bike for the money!

Great comments and I would like to explain the questions raised, because it is a huge innovation. Wheelchair: Nothing is rigged about it. Two of the cheapest identical Invacare wheelchairs were bought and one was modified with the Air Suspension Wheel technology. Zoltan (the inventor) has never been in a wheelchair before and therefore it may seem a bit clumsy, but definitely nothing was done intentionally. Cases to consider: 1: Idle - the spring should be able to carry the rider with no deflection, other wise if u lowered the spring from the beginning making the ground to hub distance smaller than the horizontal radius, you might experience lifting. but if it can support i believe its good
