So, how did it turn out? Did I like the trike? What are the good points and bad? Before we get into that, I’m sure that there are many who want to see the specifications, and not have to read through to the end for that. So, here goes: Amazing New Bent Builds on Laidback Bike Report! Posted on June 5, 2021 by Larry Varney Today (Sunday, June 6th, at 2 PM EST), we literally get into the weeds with our Italian bent builder Marco Ruga. He has created an amazing off road long wheel base recumbent and will show us how he did it and where he rides it. Then Englishman Alex du Pre (who is a naval engineer) reveals his first recumbent design. A tilting trike/velomobile made initially out of wood. Doug is back with another gonzo bent road fix and we have two new Review Team segments: Joseph Janning from Germany talks about velomobile wheels and Mickey O;Brien from Laid Back Cycles in California reviews the ICE Adventure trike. Denny will cap it all off with the latest in sports and Honza has our recumbent news of the month. You can catch it all on YouTube Sunday, May 2nd at 2 pm ET or anytime thereafter right here: https://youtu.be/Zv7iotthpi0 Head over there now and click the “Set Reminder” Button! Live chat with our guests or panelist and be part of the fun. A pair of shock-absorbing wheels for wheelchairs with integral suspension, designed to help you push over uneven streets, rough tracks, grass and gravel paths, with less effort. The carbon leaf springs give you extra power to get up or down kerbs/curbs. They’re wonderfully comfortable over cobblestones, and potholes needn’t be a problem any more!
After building a PacMac track in its previous video in the Cat Trials series, Caterpillar set up a mock Hot Wheels race track featuring a variety of Cat equipment and life-sized versions of Hot Wheels cars.
They won a £24,000 Innovate UK grant in 2013 that helped them to develop the loopwheel for wheelchairs. A further £240,000 grant in 2017 allowed them to work with 2 companies, Strategic Simulation and Analysis (SSA) and Composite Braiding, to further develop the loopwheel to go faster and for use off road and on rough terrain.

I have had the car since 2010 and it is totally stock suspension, 40K miles on the car and no, I don't need shocks.
You’ll notice your loopwheel has more movement, vertically and laterally. As soon as the springs are loaded, they compress and further change their concentricity. This is what gives you wheelchair comfort and shock absorption. A Loopwheel is designed to absorb shocks, reduce jolting and cushion your body against vibration. You’ll notice more sideways movement than with a spoked wheel, but you’re trading rigidity for greater comfort.
If the SoftWheel catches on in the way Barel thinks it will, Israel will become a world center of wheel technology and production. “Nearly all the materials we use to produce our wheels are made in Israel, and we are currently building a large production facility in northern Israel to build SoftWheels,” said Barel. “This, like our product, is an innovation as well, because not too many industrial products are made in Israel. All around we are developing a new paradigm, one we believe the world will embrace.”
Why reinvent the wheel? Because sometimes it makes for a better bike. Loopwheels are a completely new type of bicycle wheel, designed with a unique built-in suspension that makes for a delightfully smooth ride. Instead of spokes, as on a traditional bicycle wheel, the Loopwheels have three loop-shaped springs that allow the wheel to absorb the vibrations and bumps most riders are accustomed to feeling.
Good news; the Loopwheels are already well above their Kickstarter target with 13 days still to go! They've also contacted us to say they'll be attending Naidex so we can hopefully see them then. © 2021 Created by Gordon White. Powered by Badges | Report an Issue | Terms of Service
Is this a real problem? Or rather, is it such a big deal? People using your driveway as a turnaround. Cars getting lost or going one street too far and pulling into 20' of your pavement to correct their mistake. Since...

The gantry was to work by building a framework, with rails constructed from 1x1 blocks. The gantry X/Y axis arms are to traverse the rails with wheels. There would then be some pistons for the z axis, a rotor, and finally a landing gear for grabbing. All pretty straightforward stuff. On something like this, you do not want suspension on the wheels:
