I spent about 20 minutes out with Sam on the 20″ wheels, coupled up with the Dahon folding bike, and immediately there is something special about them.

They won a £24,000 Innovate UK grant in 2013 that helped them to develop the loopwheel for wheelchairs. A further £240,000 grant in 2017 allowed them to work with 2 companies, Strategic Simulation and Analysis (SSA) and Composite Braiding, to further develop the loopwheel to go faster and for use off road and on rough terrain.

The story of loopwheels is one of determination, and a streak of madness. They were invented and developed by Sam Pearce, in his home in Nottinghamshire, England. By training and profession, Sam is a mechanical engineer and industrial designer. By nature, he is some one who loves making things: designing, building, doing. He loves simplicity, and products that work well. Sam is practical and hands-on. He is stubborn and doesn’t give up easily. All useful traits when you find you’ve set out on a journey to reinvent the wheel . . .
The Shock wheel features multiple engraved grooves racing down each of the five wide spokes of this design. Forceful by nature, the Shock demands to be seen and belongs on a bike equally as opinionated. Be flashy and coquettish in chrome, or bold and visually striking in a platinum cut, the Shock is meant to turn heads and coax out a whistle of appreciation. In today’s full-suspension mountain bikes, the front and rear shocks do excellent jobs lessening those impact forces. And that helps keep riders logging miles and turning switchbacks.
The big limitation that I can see, is that if there is any deflection when the rider gets on the bike, that means that the rider is essentially pedaling uphill all the time (Because he has to compress the springs as he moves forward). The other problem is that unless the springs are precisely calibrated to the riders weight this will really destroy the rolling efficiency of the bicycle. Malcolm Jacks May 23, 2020 03:09 AM

I got it last summer because it has fall detection. I also like that I can still make calls and texts if my phone isn’t physically on me. Nope! The watch does have a built in speaker that I’ve used on calls before. It also has a talk to text feature built in where you can send a text to anyone in just a few seconds by pressing a single button. Nothings ever off the cards, that song still goes off live and we love playing it. I will never forget the BMTH/YMAS Australian tour in 2019 where Oli came out for Bite My Tongue. Pretty sure I gave my friend a few bruises I was that excited. Have seen you guys every time you’ve come to Sydney, Australia and it is a blast every damn time. Thank you for the fantastic memories. Yeah that’s the only thing I’ve found apart from eBay listings. It’s so weird because I never saw an announcement or anything for it. I sat there for a few minutes sifting through google results and there was... nothing? Like I can’t even tell if that makes it rare or just unwanted 😂 I honestly have no idea. It’s baffling. I don’t even want it but it’s a necessity for the collection 😂 Am I missing something that makes this not the most random 4 pack ever? Like... what? I know it’s from the Yule Ball but did they all have some giant significant moment that I’m forgetting about? Not at all. I am utterly confused on why these four were put together at all for any purpose ever. I can’t find much info on it online other than a listing on a Tesco page and listings on eBay. I have never even head of loop wheels. What are the benefits over wheels with spokes? If the pushtracker has connected in the past, you can try putting it in sleep mode then turning it back on. I learned in the past that charging it and never sleeping it can cause weird behavior. I’ve tried turning everything off completely and turning it back on a few times. I have tried without a backpack. Also find it annoying it won’t work in a busy area... kind of limits where I can go still, what wasn’t the point. Ugh. I would suggest also have a think about your own personal opinions to teach maths and science. I am primary trained and find I always hated maths. I am now in a role where I only teach maths and science so it’s boosted my confidence, but in my first year I found maths the hardest. YTA. This woman is trying to be healthy and probably strengthen her muscles. Who are you to determine if that person can do it or not? Sure, she may need help but it’s not impacting on you whatsoever. I’m in America on holidays at the moment AND THE MONEY!!!! How do you know which note is which??? DO YOU EVER USE YOUR PENNYS????? Sydney, Australia! Spending the next hour waiting for a video to upload to YouTube and then constantly telling myself I should sleep, but instead browsing YouTube. Fascinating Air Suspension Wheels bring new thinking to one of man's oldest problems
Thrill-seekers can use The Hot Wheels Massive Loop Mayhem track set to test their nerves and send vehicles speeding around the loop and crashing into each other!
Rear Loopwheels are about twice as stiff as front installations, and wheels can be used both separately with a spoked wheel, or as a set, plus as the lone form of bike suspension, or in addition to suspension forks. At only around 0.7 pounds heavier than spoked equivalents, Loopwheels make for particularly appealing add-ons to folding bikes, most of which don't bother with suspension systems due to the weight and bulk they pile on.
Instead of relying on a suspension fork and rear shock, the Loopwheel lets the bike’s 20-inch wheels absorb the bumps
Probably needs CX bike tyre clearances on the forks and stays while fitted with 700×23 tyres. Else the wheels/tyres will bottom out onto the frameset / fork crown on hard bumps wouldn’t it ?? Ol'shel' on May 20th, 2016 - 11:16pm
