I might eventually drop it. You have remember though, the roadsters sit atleast a half inch lower than the coupes to begin with (stock). Here's mine on 19's. I'll probably cut down the spring seats to level it up a bit in the rear. Use a slightly taller tire. That helps alot. Mine are 275/35/19 and 285/35/19 and I love the way it looks on the stock suspension. I think a big factor in your decision will be really the road conditions in your area. Lots of changes in slopes that cause you to bottom out would not be a good thing for a lowered vehicle. The cars I have seen here look quite good, mostly because they have either 19s or dubs on them.
The only other way to get wheels to turn is either roll them freely unbound to anything, or attach them to a rotor. You can adjust the suspension settings to make them ridged, and you can use vertically oriented suspensions to prevent side wobble as if it was on rails.

Just purchased a 2nd Traxion for my wife; after she borrowed mine she had to have one. This one arrived in perfect condition via UPS. Had to fine tune the brakes and shifters but that is easy. The people here having pedal/crank problems are causing the problem themselves by installing them dry and severly over tightening them. Put a little grease on the threads and take them down to just beyond finger tight. They are threaded opposite of the crank rotation and will not back out, and if you ever need to replace them they'll come out easily without seizing or galling. We’ve seen conceptually similar solutions like the carbon leaf Loop Wheels without damping, and even a smaller amount of suspension built into Gokiso’s hubs, but these Fluent wheels are certainly more tech-heavy.
Ok, here they are! 18x9" +40mm offset. Wheels are gloss black with ball cut "machine" finish accents on the spokes. Front and rear fenders pulled to gain 5mm rear and 8mm up front approx. I'm utilizing the slotted upper strut mount for an additional -0.3 negative camber which also adds 3-4mm more tuck at the top of the tire. Good news however is NO POKE! ^^^Savings of 11 1/4 lbs per corner! Noticing improved acceleration...especially in 3rd gear for whatever reason. Not enough seat time in the car to give much more detail than that but I will say that when you run more "stretch" in your tire setup, your steering response time really quickens up as a result of the reduction in sidewall "deflection." U can go too far with that theory and encounter some negative handling traits so beware. I won't be lowering the car as I have a steep entry into my driveway. I also like the handling of the car in Sport mode with the Type R rear sway bar installed and would rather leave it alone as it is currently well balanced. Ok, on to the pics. Here are a couple of pics of my 2009 G37S with stock suspension and 20" wheels. I would love to lower the front some but I am fine with the back and I don't want to get into all the other issues that come up with lowering a car (rubbing, alignment issues, etc etc).
Loopwheel springs are made from a carbon composite material, carefully developed and tested to give optimum compression and lateral stability as well as strength and durability. Specially-designed connectors attach the springs to the hub and rim. The three loops in each wheel work together as a self-correcting system. This spring system between the hub and the rim of the wheel provides suspension that constantly adjusts to uneven terrain – cushioning the rider from bumps and potholes in the road. In effect, the hub floats within the rim, adjusting constantly as shocks from an uneven road hit the rim of the wheel. The spring configuration allows the torque to be transferred smoothly between the hub and the rim.
Less effort is needed to push over uneven pavements, cobbles, grass and gravel paths and it’s easier to get up kerbs too.
So what's the alternative? Better keep your large-diameter, low-profile alloy wheel and tire set for the summer months, when the frost heaves have quit poking Buick-sized boulders through the road surface. From late October to the first of May, consider investing in a winter wheel and tire package, including steel wheels in a slightly smaller diameter than the 19-inchers that may come on your car.
