When I refer to this trike as such, the word “ultimate” seems to annoy some people. At first glance, most of us think: wow, this trike is big! And it’s heavy! Trust me: it’s not *that* big, nor heavy. Sure, it’s not tiny nor very light, but first impressions can be deceiving. It’s the three 24″ wheels that give it that look. Once you actually stand next to it, then sit on it, and especially if you have other trikes nearby, you’ll find that it’s not really so very different in overall dimensions than most other trikes. Before I go further, let’s put the numbers up that so many are wanting to see, then we’ll talk about what this all may mean to you. unlike other bikes I purchased, I did not have to make any tuning/adjustments for the deralleurs - hope this won't jinx it. The bike arrived very fast and only a little assembly to do and very easy. The gears change very smoothly. It's a little heavy but I'm very satisfied !!! Had bike for just over a month and gears don’t work proper and back wheel frame is bent and has a wobble. Thought getting a more expensive bike would be more durable but I was wrong. My 200 dollar Canadian Tire bike was better. The tires are missing some ball bearing and trying to put the tire on only results in a wobbly tire. Off to buy some ball bearings now... Grumble.

Its 3 shocks use an adjustable preload gas spring and hydraulic damping for 40mm of shock stroke. That isn’t the same as wheel travel due to the orientation of the shocks, so it’s not exactly clear how that translates to rim movement or really hoe it would compare to traditional suspension travel.
From an aesthetics point of view they are gorgeous to look at, but from riding them it is obvious that Sam and Gemma have created something special. Riding 20″ slicks is not normally the most fun way to enjoy the farm tracks of the UK, but with the Loopwheels it suddenly changed, the rough buzz disappeared and you find yourself enjoying the ride rather than worrying about your wheels and the bike bouncing everywhere!
