Push Rim Covers

In addition to their solutions for wheelchairs and (Yes!) cars, SoftWheel has three versions for bikes. The premium wheelset is the disc brake Fluent HD setup designed for all around and even off-road riding, and available with either 27.5 or 29″ carbon rims. Its 3 shocks use an adjustable preload gas spring and hydraulic damping for 40mm of shock stroke. That isn’t the same as wheel travel due to the orientation of the shocks, so it’s not exactly clear how that translates to rim movement or really hoe it would compare to traditional suspension travel.

unlike other bikes I purchased, I did not have to make any tuning/adjustments for the deralleurs - hope this won't jinx it. The bike arrived very fast and only a little assembly to do and very easy. The gears change very smoothly. It's a little heavy but I'm very satisfied !!! Had bike for just over a month and gears don’t work proper and back wheel frame is bent and has a wobble. Thought getting a more expensive bike would be more durable but I was wrong. My 200 dollar Canadian Tire bike was better. The tires are missing some ball bearing and trying to put the tire on only results in a wobbly tire. Off to buy some ball bearings now... Grumble. .

I'm looking to buy Enkei RPF1's. I am undecided if I should go with the 17 or 18 inch size for stock suspension. I am driving a coupe and have always felt the RPF1 visually looks 2 sizes smaller than they actually are, but I don't want to install coilovers yet - maybe in a few years, but not now. As a comparison, consider the 1995 Corvette ZR-1, an ultra-high performance, 405 horsepower Corvette of which 527 units were sold. It came equipped with 17-inch wheels and tires. The front tires were 275/45R17s, meaning they were three-quarters of an inch thicker, had the same height sidewall, but were smaller than the Taurus by two inches in diameter.

I used to think that URT suspension and suspended seatposts were the worst ways to implement suspension on a bicycle. gringo on April 15th, 2013 - 3:10am

  • Back Vibration Feeling

As a full time wheelchair user, I cast a very skeptical eye at said "annoyingly infomercial-style video". About the only places I have trouble are in soft gravel, sandy beaches, and deep snow. Certainly not gentle curbs and flat lawns.

Surprised at the baseless negativity this morning. Wait, no, I’m not. Maybe it’s not the simplest suspension solution, but a cool alternative when everything else is homogenizing. bazookasean on May 20th, 2016 - 9:48am

UPDATE: After several long rides on very rocky mountain roads and trails I just had to change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. This bike is that nice, and it didn't seem fair to down grade the rating due to slow poor FedEx service.

  • Wheel For Wheelchair

Much like their wheelchair design has made it easier and more comfortable for users to get around in an urban environment, SoftWheel hopes the Fluent wheel can do the same thing for cyclists. The way they describe how the wheel absorbs shocks claims that they are especially effective at abrupt sharp edge obstacles like riding up and down stairs. Since the rim can variably move in the direction of each impact (as opposed to a typical fork which can only telescope up and down, or a rear suspension setup which is confined to the axle path determined by its layout), it is better suited to the wide range of actual impacts your normally encounter.

I'm shopping around for prices on a suspension upgrade, new tires, and new wheels for my rig. I've been quoted $4k for a Bilstein 5100's all around with OME springs both front and rear and SPC Upper control arms. The $4k is for ALL parts + installation, and includes the wheels and tires. They are BFG KO2's and TRD Pro wheels. Is this reasonable? I'm completely new the world of mods and upgrades and don't want to get ripped off. For those who may suggest I try the work myself, I live in a small studio apartment with no garage or space for tools :/ Reply With Quote 623spartan View Public Profile Find More Posts by 623spartan 03-15-2020, 10:00 PM #2 So about $1,250 in labor - not horrible but I would shop around a little. Labor on this should be about 6-8 hours? Maybe can find someone local willing to work with you, teach you a few things for some pizza and brews? Make a buddy along the way! Edit - if you're lifting 2"/2.5" or less could probably drop the SPCs and save a few bucks Last edited by Sundy; 03-15-2020 at 10:49 PM. $800 on Amazon for C load 285's - so I was a little off. I was also assuming prices of shopping around, or else the SPC's would've been stated a bit higher. 03-15-2020, 11:32 PM #6 I think that is reasonable presuming the shop is decent. Also, don't forgot to add another 100 bucks for alignment when all said and done. Be certain the alignment tech is well versed on SPC UCAs. Ask the shop for a referral if you don't already have someone in mind. shrub1 View Public Profile Find More Posts by shrub1 03-17-2020, 12:25 AM #7 03-17-2020, 01:45 AM #8 2018 Super White SR5 Premium aka Ben Affleck: Bilstein 5100s (w/ 2" Toytech Superflex), 285/65/18 duratracs (E), 18x9 Volk TE37 // 2003 Black Limited (2UZFE) aka Blacky Chan: stock the_fornicator View Public Profile Find More Posts by the_fornicator 03-17-2020, 09:24 AM #9 That's $2890 without install. Install is easy and can be done in a day in the driveway with pretty basic tools and a jack and some stands. Just my .02, Find some local guys in the regional forum or even Tacoma guys on face book. Get to know them and see when they will do a mod day or invite them over to help in stall for food and beer. I've been to a few guys homes I've never met before except on forums to help install stuff just b/c I believe in what goes around comes around and if I were in that position I would really appreciate the help. I spent 340.00 on Bilsteins, 800.00 mounted and balanced 285 KO's, 400.00 spc's, and 50.00 for 1.5 Daystars in the rear, then 17x9 Mamba's for 720.00 and alignment 90.00.......so just under $2600. I would save on the TRD wheels buying used. 83Mule View Public Profile Find More Posts by 83Mule 03-19-2020, 01:09 PM #12 $4K is reasonable depending on the quality of shocks/springs. Since you're not doing it yourself and the kit includes UCAs, this is not crazy expensive. Don't know a bunch about Bilsteins but you could probably find a better deal on them or use the money for something a little better quality. Seem a bit higher, waiting for another shop to back to me. What do you guys think? Rather have a competent mechanic go at it. I dont have the tools or space to do it myself. Loopwheels use an off-the-shelf bicycle wheel but removes the spokes in place of a spring system between the hub and the rim for integral suspension. That suspension is made up of three carbon composite springs that act as shock absorbers with 45mm of travel, cushioning the rider for a smooth and comfortable ride. Unlike standard bike suspension systems, it provides tangential suspension, allowing your ride to absorb shocks from all directions — even from the front and rear.

A set of ASW wheels, on the other hand, will cost you more upfront but last something like 13 times longer – out to the service life of the truck itself. Your first set of six wheels in this case will run you about $1.705 million, but over 10 years you'll likely only need two tread replacements at around $55,000 a pop, giving you a 10-year budget of $1.815 million and a $845,000 saving.
With approximately 433 operating mines in Australia, this agreement broadens GACW market potential in one of the biggest mining countries in the world. 2The ASW technology is a disruptive, patented in-wheel suspension assembly. The ASW is non-pneumatic and addresses many safety and transportation logistics that large mining trucks face with traditional rubber tyres.” The ASW is still in its pre-commercialisation stage and further field testing is expected in Q3 and Q4 of 2020.
