Interesting. I'll have to check that out. So if I follow correctly we can adjust front camber using the upper mount after removing that guide pin? Interesting. I'll have to check that out. So if I follow correctly we can adjust front camber using the upper mount after removing that guide pin? Precisely! Altho there is only limited adjustment. Only about a -0.3 degree change, but that is better than nothing. Double bonus in that it is beneficial for handling and for clearance for running wheels with somewhat more aggressive offsets. The constant rumble and vibration from bumpy roads is tiring and can cause you problems. Loopwheels reduce vibration on average 65% compared to a traditional spoked wheels. .

Why Is My Back Vibrating

I suppose that there may be some readers who have not yet heard about this trike. If you haven’t – it was featured on a recent Laidback Bike Report (laidbackbikereport.com), so you might want to check that out – after you read this, of course! But seriously, getting a chance to see that trike in action, whether in-person or via that LBR, is a good idea. When you do, perhaps the first thing you notice is what I mention in the title – this trike leans! Read More »

Suspension blocks are the quickest way to provide both, in addition to suspension and turning capabilities, but don't necessarily meet all demands. A rotor can also be used, but has a much lower maximum speed (60rpm, regardless of wheel size) for propulsion purposes - however it can also have its braking torque set to 0 to make it a free-wheeling axle.

There are two basic types of vehicle suspensions: independent and solid axel. The main difference between these two is that both right and left wheels attached to the same beam i.e. solid axle, while independent suspensions make provision for one wheel to go up or down without affecting the other wheel.

We’ll deliver a set of trial Loopwheels directly to your door with instructions on how to fit these to your existing chair. Ready fitted with tyres and alu push rims.
Springs inside the distinctive wheels compress as the rider encounters rough terrain Mr Pearce, who usually designs parts for pushchairs and other vehicles, has spent four years perfecting the idea.

When the damper inside a MacPherson strut wears out, you can buy a replacement cartridge which — depending on type — may or may not include new parts for the strut itself.

Swing axles may be at the front or rear. The system is like a beam axle cut in half and attached to pivots on the frame.

The revolutionary Loopwheels have been specially designed to help wheelchair users get around more easily and with more comfort. The shock absorbing springs can give you extra power to get up kerbs and reduce jolting as you come down - for a smoother ride wherever you go.
Instead of relying on a suspension fork and rear shock, the Loopwheel lets the bike’s 20-inch wheels absorb the bumps

The spokes on a standard spoked wheel hold it in tension. If the spokes lose tension, they start to break and the rim will buckle. A Loopwheel is not held in tension by its springs.

With any wheels there is always a little trepidation about hitting larger more inanimate objects but with Sam goading me on I started to aim for rocks, ruts and tree roots (did I mention we were riding off road!!!) and in every instance the wheels soaked up the impact, leaving me free to ride the bike without worry of knackered rims, aching arms or even getting up out of the saddle to soak up the impact – you can just let the wheels do the work.
